Curriculum vitae

Accurate in method, pragmatic in its application. According to this motto, Alain Hofer (born 1969, Biglen/BE) accompanies people, teams and organizations in their everyday IT life to achieve the best possible results together. After completing his studies in computer science, Alain laid a solid foundation as a software developer and architect in various Swiss companies on behalf of a Bern-based software forge and consulting firm. As co-developer and responsible for the first web-based telephone directory software, he was able to experience the various roles in IT for himself. Whether product manager, operator, developer, marketer or designer of the product "webETV", devOps and agile working methods in independent teams were already in the center of his work in the 90s, albeit not yet under today's known names. The part-time second education to adult education and coach at the SELF - School for Adult Education, management and leadership, formed the stepping stone away from technology to people. "Alain combines his distinctive feeling for the challenges of people in personal and organisational change processes with a far-sighted, structured and methodically sound approach. Alain Hofer was already able to practice cooperation and organisation in his youth as a leader of larger scout units (up to 700 young people) and as a training leader. These experiences still benefit him in practice today.
