Review of the SAFe® Summit 2025 in Sorrento - KEGON in the thick of it!

From April 7 to 10, 2025, it was that time again: the SAFe® Summit Europe brought together thought leaders, practitioners and experts from the Scaled Agile world - and, as always, KEGON was right in the middle of the action. In the picturesque setting of Sorrento, Italy, we met up with familiar faces and new inspirations - in a somewhat smaller, but all the more personal setting with plenty of room for in-depth discussions.

Compliance rethought
One highlight was the presentation by Felix Rüssel and Erika Schüttfort on “Compliance as Strategic Asset in SAFe® Implementations”. Their central message: compliance is not an obstacle, but a real enabler for sustainable business agility. ESGRC (Environment, Social, Governance, Risk, Compliance) can help companies to achieve sustainable success - if it is strategically integrated. As the icing on the cake, the presentation immediately after the keynote was voted the top presentation of the summit.

Business Owner in focus
With two roundtables on the new SAFe® Business Owner Micro-Credential, Kurt Jäger put the spotlight on a topic that concerns many: How do companies and managers position themselves for the future in the agile market? This was a worthy kick-off for the new Business Owner Micro-Credential, which we developed together with Scald Agile, Inc.

Deep dive at the KEGON booth
Deborah Briehl, Antje Schuck, Joseph Assaf, Niko Kaintantzis and Stefan Becker were on site for a direct exchange. Particularly popular: the KEGON Better Results Assessment, presented by Konrad Swistelnicki. It offers a quick, objective introduction to evaluating business performance - including a free one-hour deep-dive discussion for participants and thus helps to identify and address potential.

SAFe® for hardware - what now?
Ali Hajou discussed how lean-agile approaches can be successfully implemented in the complex world of hardware development in a panel of top-class international experts. The focus was on topics such as specialist teams, innovation cycles and practical challenges.
Focus on the future: AI, new training courses & customer stories

Another key topic: the influence of artificial intelligence on product development and innovation. In addition, the Big Picture was further developed and the implementation roadmap - with exciting new training formats such as SAFe® for Hardware and the SAFe® Business Owner Micro-Credential .
KEGON awarded!

A very special highlight: KEGON was once again recognized by Scaled Agile, Inc. (SAI) - as the partner with the highest training run rate = 100%! “This makes KEGON a valuable partner for us,” emphasized Steve Matthesen, CEO of SAI, in his official recognition.
We would like to thank all visitors, speakers and partners - including our friends from Seibert with Agile Hive - for the inspiring discussions and great hours. We look forward to the next steps together with you in the SAFe® community!
