Who we are
Since our founding in 2002, we have advised and accompanied hundreds of companies, from mid-sized companies to Dax corporations, on their path to agility and prepared tens of thousands of training participants for agility.
But the best thing about us is that we actually live the values and methods we teach others!
We see ourselves as an evolving ecosystem and are organized in circles of colleagues where many important decisions are made by ourselves. Thanks to flat hierarchies, we are open when it comes to openly addressing mistakes and learning from them together. We are always open to new ideas and people. We are not the typical management consultants with tie and suit, but pull together with great individuality!
What we do
We are first movers in the use of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) in the German-speaking market and conducted the first Agile Release Train as well as the first SAFe® Transformation, provided the first certified SPC, SPCT, RTE and since 2018 also the first German SAFe® Fellow.
We are also a certified partner of Scrum.org, Kanban University and other licensors.
However, since creativity and innovation are also encouraged at our company, we create numerous trainings and workshops of our own in order to offer our customers* the best learning experience.
What you can do with us
All of our trainers also work as consultants, so we can incorporate actual practical experience into what we teach in trainings and keep our finger on the pulse. You can join KEGON as a freelancer in your area of expertise or become an integral part of our ecosystem. Our colleagues are spread all over Germany and work together digitally. I started my studies with the Hessian police in 2008 and since then I have been part of one of the most important professions for me, that of a police officer. At no time did I doubt that I had chosen a profession that helps society and that adds value to all of us.
I have had interesting and sometimes extreme experiences in a wide variety of areas that have shaped me but also enriched my outlook.
However, when my wife and I were expecting our first child, I had to deal with the question: "Family or career", because both were difficult to reconcile. By its very nature, the job of a police officer often requires personal presence. Even as a press officer, you have to be available on the spot, as there is often the highest need for action in a short time. I became increasingly aware that I had to choose a path, especially when we had our second child.
Without much hesitation, I decided to take care of the upbringing of our children so that my wife could pursue her career.
During my parental leave, I gave a lot of thought to the fact that it must be possible to pursue a career despite raising children, and I came up with an unusual solution: switching to a management consultancy!
I was able to see how KEGON works and how most of the employees managed to reconcile both.
The open attitude towards new technical possibilities and the willingness to go other ways now make it possible for me to work from home and pick up my children from daycare on time. Nevertheless, I have the feeling that I can contribute, advance topics and give new impulses.
Here, instead of having to make a decision, I have both time for my children and for my career!
