Seibert Group GmbH Acquires a Majority Stake in KEGON AG

The Wiesbaden-based software company is increasing its stake in the agile transformation consulting firm from 30 to 51 percent. The seller of the shares is KEGON Holding GbR.

Wiesbaden, October 8, 2026 — Seibert Group GmbH has increased its stake in KEGON AG from 30 to 51 percent, thereby becoming the majority shareholder of the Wiesbaden-based consulting firm specializing in agile transformation. The seller is KEGON Holding GbR, which comprises the partners of KEGON AG. The agreement was signed on September 14, 2026, and closed simultaneously.

This move is the result of a long-standing partnership: The Seibert Group has held a 30 percent stake in KEGON AG since 2022. The increase in ownership is taking place by mutual agreement and at the request of both parties—prompted by the departure of several partners who are transferring their shares as part of an orderly succession plan. Two of them are retiring, while the others will remain associated with the company as consultants.

The brand, Executive Board, and team will remain

There will be no change to KEGON AG’s operational independence: The brand will remain the same, the Executive Board will continue to manage day-to-day operations, and the points of contact for customers will remain the same. The KEGON Academy’s training business will also continue as usual.

“Over the past few years, we’ve seen how well collaboration works at the project level,” says Dr. Yvonne Görlitz, member of the Executive Board of KEGON AG. “The majority stake gives us planning certainty and a shareholder who invests in our business rather than just managing it.”

Why Seibert Is Taking a Majority Stake

“For years, people have been claiming that Agile is dead. I can’t confirm that—quite the opposite,” says Martin Seibert, CEO of the Seibert Group. “With AI agents, one person can now handle work that required half a team just yesterday. As a result, many specialist roles are losing their previous scope. Organizations must rethink their team structures, roles, and responsibilities—not just once, but on an ongoing basis.”

“AI is bringing about more change than in any phase I’ve experienced in my nearly 30 years in the business. People and teams who need to respond effectively to this change require the right tools. Agility is that tool, and it’s more important today than ever before. KEGON is an expert in this field.”

Consulting and software from a single network

KEGON has been supporting corporations and medium-sized companies with agile transformations since 2002 and is one of the established SAFe partners in German-speaking countries. The Seibert Group develops and operates collaboration software and has itself been working intensively with AI agents for years.

Both sides thus contribute what the other lacks: KEGON provides in-depth consulting and access to the organizational level, while the Seibert Group offers platforms, software, customer access, and its own experience with AI in day-to-day work. In the coming months, the collaboration is set to become significantly more intensive than before thanks to tangible synergies—particularly through the shared use of infrastructure and software.

Thanks to the departing partners

With this transaction, five partners are leaving the shareholder group of KEGON Holding GbR: Together, they have had a decisive influence on the company for more than two decades.

“I am very grateful to these five partners,” says Martin Seibert. “They helped build what we are now taking over. Most of them will remain affiliated with KEGON even after this transaction: Their many years of experience will continue to be available to KEGON customers as usual.”

The transition will take place over several years

The two companies have been working together since 2022, when the Seibert Group acquired 30 percent of the shares as part of a capital increase. Since then, they have collaborated on customer projects, co-hosted events, and delivered conference presentations. “This was never a takeover aimed at anyone,” says Seibert. “It’s a partnership that has proven itself over the years—and one that we are now making more formal.”
