Curriculum Vitae

Volkhard Kantner has been working in the IT industry for more than 25 years. As a software developer and team leader of development teams in the banking environment, he learned the practical basics of agile approaches in the USA. Since 2001 he worked in Germany for a large telecommunication company. Initially, he worked as a project manager (PMP) and Six Sigma Black Belt until he became familiar with agile process models in 2008. Since then, he has gained experience in the agile transition of large companies and is a sought-after discussion partner as a Certified Scrum Professional (CSP). As product owner of an agile coaching and training team, he was able to accompany and help shape the culture change of a company at close range. He knows first-hand the work of a Scrum Master from several years in that role in the IoT space. As a Scaled Agile Practice Consultant (SPC), he trains, consults and coaches on scaling development teams. Mr. Kantner holds a degree in social science and is a communications programmer.
